Progress Report: Full CV Japanese Voicebank

Finally! FINALLY! I have some time to sit down and get recording for the next voicebank!

Except...

The reclist I was referencing was taken down by its author.

This doesn't mean all hope is lost, though! I'm determined to get the full CV voicebank recorded this weekend gosh darn it! But without the solid reclist I was going to use, I have hit a bit of a snag. I'm taking the time today to thoroughly research all the reclists I can get my hands on, which sounds easy on paper but in practice it’s so difficult to find one with all the extra sounds! I'll let you know which one I choose in the end! The issue is that this whole thing is eating into precious recording time, and if I don't get a full set of perfect recordings by the end of the weekend, then it could be months before I get the opportunity again! AGH!

The TL:DR of it is the voicebank IS coming, and its coming SOON, but I just can't say HOW soon yet.

In the meantime, how about checking out what my existing voicebanks sound like? Maybe even download them and try using them!

ヨーグルト Minimalist CV (JP) Minor Update

Tiny little update for the ヨーグルト Minimalist CV voicebank!

Changelog:

• Added Terms of Use to readme file.

• Changed "wo" to correct character.

Only just noticed the reclist I used had "wo" in different characters than most USTs. I am working on 2.0 with a better oto and more tightly cropped samples, but there will be no more re-recording or new recordings for the Minimalist bank.

So! I'm Yoggo! Internet name, not real name. And I like to mess around in UTAU to make voicebanks, covers, and tutorials!

A combination of nostalgia and lockdowns resparked an old interest in Vocaloid and UTAU, and after being a fan since circa 2013 I FINALLY bit the bullet and started looking into the creator side of things. It didn't take long after that for things to spiral out of control and now here I am several months later with one voicebank released, at least three more planned, steady progress on assisting a friend with one of their own, and a few tutorials to get others started on using UTAU and creating voicebanks themselves!

For the past few months I've been using a Tumblr sideblog to post on and record progress, but now's the time to move to something a little more organised. Plus a uni assignment wants me to make a website. It's a two birds, one stone kind of situation.

The Tumblr blog will remain active for in character posts, but non character updates and posts and announcements will be made here from now on!

And that's not all!

You can find UTAU tutorials, including all video tutorials from my Youtube (mostly focused on the voicebank creation side of things for the moment, but I have plans to expand as my own UTAU experiences grow), a place for covers that demo my own voicebanks, and lastly a page with all my voicebanks listed for download.
